Beat procrastination and boost productivity with the Pomodoro Technique. Our free timer helps you work in focused 25-minute intervals, followed by short breaks to recharge. Track your tasks, count completed sessions, and build sustainable work habits. Perfect for students, remote workers, writers, developers, and anyone seeking better focus.
Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, the Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses a timer to break work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a "pomodoro", the Italian word for tomato, inspired by the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used.
The technique trains your brain to focus for short periods and helps you stay on top of deadlines or constantly-refilling inboxes. It also reduces anxiety and mental fatigue by breaking overwhelming tasks into manageable chunks.
Choose what you want to work on
Work for 25 minutes (1 Pomodoro)
Rest for 5 minutes
After 4 cycles, take a 15-min break
While the classic Pomodoro is 25/5/15 minutes, you can customize timers to match your work style. Try 50/10/30 for deep work sessions, or 15/3/10 for quick tasks. Experiment to find your optimal rhythm.
